Monetizing your Music across YouTube with Repost

by Jeff Ponchick in Announcements February 01, 2016

alt With over 1 billion users, YouTube is easily the worlds largest music streaming site and it’s important that your music be protected across it. Repost can help you to get the most out of the platform by making you more money in two distinct ways.

  1. Monetization of the videos on your channel
  2. YouTube Audio ID

Monetization of the videos on your channel

Shortly after connecting your YouTube channel you will receive an email from Google titled “Invitation: RepostNetwork would like you to join its Network on YouTube.”

Follow the learn more link, or to make things easier, feel free to click here to bring you into your video manager. Once inside you should see a request in the upper right hand corner to link your channel to Repost.

alt

Accept the link request and the videos on your channel will be monetized! You can always log into your video manager and disable any videos you would like to not have monetized through advertising.

YouTube Audio ID

Should anyone steal your music and re-upload it to their YouTube channel, Repost can help you to place an advertisement over that third party content and drive the ad revenue back to you!

We do this by delivering your files and track metadata to YouTube’s fingerprinting system. By connecting your YouTube channel we will automatically submit each track to AudioID that has been approved for monetization on your SoundCloud channel. So once you connect, all you need to do is sit back, relax, and watch the third party ad dollars roll in.
