Spotify for iOS Now Displaying Songwriting Credits

Producers and songwriters are working tirelessly behind-the-scenes to make hit songs, creating success for big artists in today’s industry while they remain in the shadows. But shouldn’t they be receiving at least a little bit of attention for their works of art? Absolutely.

As of this week they’ll finally be given a portion of the spotlight with this exciting new Spotify update: songwriting and producer credits on iOS.

Now iOS users are able to access even more track info within the Spotify application. These credits have been made easily accessible, just through a simple clicking of the three dots that appear aside every song on the platform. From there users will be able to view the individual’s name and role in creating the respective song. Keep in mind that the only information displayed will be whatever details the distributor provides the app with.

Unfortunately this update will only be available on iOS devices, as we are unaware of when or if this will be accessible to Android users within the near future. This feature has also been accessible on Spotify’s desktop application but is completely new to mobile applications.

The addition of songwriting credits gives Spotify yet another edge over all music platforms on iOS and has both producers, writers, and fans excited for the release of new information. Don’t forget to update the app for yourself, and find out even more about your favorite songs!
