Searching Songs by their Lyrics Now Available on Apple Music

There are a lot of unique features found on Spotify’s platform that are lacking from Apple Music, but soon Apple may just have an edge over other major streaming services. Many of you are probably aware that Apple rolled out its new iOS 12 software a few days ago, which means there are tons of tweaks and improvements for users to enjoy. One of these exciting new additions allows those using Apple Music to find tracks simply by searching its song lyrics.

The ability for listeners to finally search songs by lyric will be an extremely useful feature for music lovers everywhere. You no longer need Safari to secretly search the words of a track that your friend is playing over the aux. Now you can type those lyrics directly into Apple Music’s search bar and add that song to your library instantly. The feature is even accessible to those without an actual subscription, as all you need to do is navigate to the search tab within the Apple Music app. Now that it has launched, this feature is exclusive to Apple Music in the arena of major music streaming platforms.

Even though the introduction of this new ability will surely prove useful for subscribers on the Apple Music platform, there is still slight room for improvements. The company has licensing deals with the majority of labels and other distributors who are associated with the platform but there is still a percentage of lyrics not registered into their system yet.

This new update went live a few days ago, so make sure your application is up to date and ready to use. You’ll appreciate it next time you hear a new track worthy of making it onto your current song library. Finding the music that you love has never been so easy!
