Facebook has been relatively active in the music industry, securing partnerships with the three largest music groups and releasing their new Lip Sync Live feature. Now they have yet another update with music on their platform - this time its two brand new features. Starting today Facebook users will officially be able to integrate songs with their pages as well as their Facebook stories.
On your Facebook profile you can now upload tracks for your page viewers to see. Facebook has added a new music section to user profiles, allowing you to display your favorite songs (or your new release) directly onto your page. Visitors on your page are able to click and listen to the songs you have uploaded to your page, as well as direct themselves to the artist’s Facebook page. It’s a great way to show your followers what you’re into, and what they should be listening to.
Facebook is also allowing users to upload music onto their Facebook stories in portions, very similar to how Instagram music functions. You can now add stickers to your stories by selecting a song from Facebook’s new music catalog and choosing a segment of the song to share. On your story, viewers will be able to see the song title and artist just like with Instagram.
Repost artists - now that Facebook’s music feature is finally live, you can upload your tracks onto your Facebook profile. Make sure you’re distributing on Facebook and Instagram within our dashboard, under the distribution tab.
