We are excited to announce our foray into the Middle Eastern music community through our partnership with Anghami!
Launched in November 2012, Anghami is the largest-ever digital music venture in the Middle East backed by multiple VC firms. It is the first legal streaming platform in the Middle East and North Africa that provides millions of licensed songs available to stream, download, and play offline. Their partnerships include major Arabic labels as well as major international labels EMI, Sony, Warner, and Universal.
To date, they have registered over 70 million users and hold a catalogue of over 30 million songs. Compared to Soundcloud’s total registered users of 76 million, these are some impressive stats!
The app is available on Web, iPhone, and Android with main features that include unlimited downloads and offline plays, music discovery features, playlists, and features to socialize through the platform. Check out the website here to explore: https://play.anghami.com/explore.
Founders of Anghami Eddy Maroun and Elie Habib made it to the cover of Forbes for Anghami in 2017
Here at Repost, we love spreading music across the world and giving artists greater visibility while giving them their returns on their craft. Global partnerships with major music streaming platforms, like Anghami, are giving us an opportunity to do just that.
All released tracks will get distributed to Anghami through Repost unless otherwise requested. Feel free to reach out to firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like to opt your releases out of the platform.
